Lightbeam Health Solutions acquired CareSignal, which provides “deviceless” remote consumer monitoring technology. Lightbeam Health Solutions provides a population health management solution. Financial terms were not disclosed. With this transaction, Lightbeam intends to integrate scalable, evidence-based remote engagement as well as monitoring capabilities into its core population health offering, which serves more than 42 million consumer lives across the United States.
CareSignal brings over 30 condition-specific programs, including a suite of artificial intelligence-based predictive models that complement Lightbeam’s population health analytics platform. Lightbeam can generate real-time cohorts. CareSignal programs cover chronic conditions, behavioral health, social determinants of health, maternal health, and additional use cases. Its programs are used by value-based provider organizations, payers, and self-insured employers.
For this transaction, CareSignal was advised by Ziegler, a specialty investment bank. Ziegler provides advisory and financing solutions for companies and organizations across the health care industry. In its core practice areas of health care services, information technology, hospitals and senior living, Ziegler offers sell-side, buy-side, recapitalization/restructuring, equity private placement and strategic partnering services.
