Community Health Systems (CHS), which operates health systems in 15 states, is launching virtual behavioral health services in the primary care setting in partnership with Mindoula, a population health management company.
CHS is set to launch Mindoula’s Collaborative Care program to about 700 primary care professionals. The program aims to help consumers experiencing mental health concerns, and it includes initial behavioral health assessments, care planning, systematic follow-up via digital and human interactions, and weekly review of the treatment plan. The Mindoula program identifies behavioral health needs using clinically validated consumer assessments and tracks changes in those needs over time. Consumers can engage with caregivers using the Mindoula Messenger engagement app.
CHS develops and operates health care delivery systems in 43 markets across 15 states. Its subsidiaries own or lease 76 affiliated hospitals with approximately 13,000 beds and operate more than 1,000 sites of care, including physician practices, urgent care centers, freestanding emergency departments, occupational medicine clinics, imaging centers, cancer centers and ambulatory surgery centers.
